The symposium will be held in Kota Kinabalu, a capital city of Sabah, located at East of Malaysia. Sabah is slowly becoming a haven for short getaways, especially for eco-tourism lovers as it unveils more places outside the city. Sabah is blessed with a diverse landscape of tropical forests, mountains, and pristine seas and known for great natural treasures which include Danum Valley Conservation Area, Tabin Wildlife Reserve and Maliau Basin.  Some of Sabah indigenous flora and fauna can only be found in this part of the world. Sabah certainly is the perfect learning platform for Bio-cultural Diversity and Conservation.

The tourism spots of Sabah are stretched from the downtown of Kota Kinabalu until its remote area. Apart from the spots located around the downtown, dozens of attractive spots are only within 2-3 hours within driving distances. On the top of this, Being a cultural melting pot, Sabah features a dizzying array of dishes from distinctive local cuisine to a rich heritage of culinary knowledge contributed from all corners of the world.

The symposium is not only an excellent platform for participants to meet and discuss with the peers, but also to explore the beauty of Sabah's nature. Thus, spending extra time after or before the symposium along with your family to enjoy majestic of Sabah is highly recommended !
